Burner clicks but won't light
This is usually something simple:
- Food or grease packed around the burner
- A burner cap that isn't sitting flat
- Moisture left over after a boil-over
- A cracked igniter (the little part that sparks)
Gas ranges need regular cleaning to work right, and a lot of the gunk ends up where you can't reach. We can clean those spots out. If it keeps clicking with the knobs off, a spark switch is usually wet or worn out.
Oven won't heat
- Gas oven: Usually a weak igniter. It may still glow, but not hot enough to let the gas through, so the burner never lights.
- Electric oven: The bake or broil element has burned out. Sometimes you can see a blister or a break in it.
- Either kind: A temperature sensor or the control board. We test each part before replacing anything.
Door locked after self-clean?
Self-clean runs very hot, and that's when latches and fuses tend to give out. If the door stays locked after the oven cools down, don't force it. Just give us a call.
High-end and hard-to-find ranges
We work on Wolf, Viking, Thermador, and DCS, along with the everyday brands. One customer had trouble with their AGA stove for over three years and couldn't find anyone willing to look at it, not even the manufacturer. We took it on and stayed with it until it worked.
Need a new range hooked up?
We install new gas ranges and check them before we leave. See appliance installation.

“Brandon was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this appliance repair business. He answers his phone and always returns calls. It didn’t take long to be set with an appointment either. Great job!”
Questions we hear a lot
I smell gas. What should I do?
Don't switch anything on or off, and don't light anything. Get outside and call your gas company or 911. Once it's safe, call us about the repair.
Do you fix cooktops and wall ovens too?
Yes, gas and electric.
Is self-clean bad for my oven?
It's hard on it because of the heat. Wiping up spills early means you'll need it less often.
How soon can you come?
We take same-day appointments when the day allows. Call and we'll give you the soonest opening.
